Hello Ladies.
I got some more info on the family we have adopted for Christmas. I actually had a chance to speak to Janice (the mother) on the phone yesterday.  She is very thankful that we are going to help.  She was crying on the phone and said she felt blessed to have people such as us in her life.  I previously sent information about the children, but I wanted to get some info. on her as well.  She is a single mother and is in need of many basic neccesities.  She is a shirt size medium, shoe size 8.  I asked her about needs for the house, she specifically stated that they were in need of dishes, blankets, curtains, and any furniture anyone may have that looks new or gently used.  She also said they are always in need of shampoo, toothpaste, etc...
She said that the 4 year old twins like anything related to Dora and Diego and that the 12 year old boy is into sports such as basketball, football, etc.. She said they are in need of socks and underwear as well as coats.
I hope you can each find it in your heart to help this family this season.  Please remember to bring the items to me at church or you can bring them to the L.I.F.T. Christmas party on Dec. 14 where we will wrap the items.  If you know what items you would like to donate please send me a quick e-mail so I can make sure we have all items covered. If you do not have time to shop and would like to give a monetray donation I will be happy to do the shopping to make sure they get what is needed.  Thanks so much ladies.  I look forward to hearing from you.  Have a wonderful weekend.

With Love,
Pam Taylor

Hello Ladies,
Hope you are each having a wonderful week. As you know, L.I.F.T. is going to be adopting a family for Christmas this year.  I heard from the social worker today who has assigned us our family.  She talked to me about them and said this a family in real need that will not have much of a Christmas without our help.  This is a family consisting of a single parent and 3 children. We will collect items between now and Dec. 14.  Please bring them to me at church as you get them or bring them to the L.I.F.T. Christmas party on Dec. 14.  We will wrap all of the gifts for the family at our party.  The gifts will be delivered to the family by Dec. 19.  Please e-mail me if you are willing to commit to a specific item at this point such as a coat, etc...  I want to coordinate and make sure that we get enough items for each family member to have a great Christmas.  I am still trying to obtain further info. on the Mom so we can get her some nice things as well.  We all have so much to be thankful for and nothing is as rewarding as helping others, so let's get shopping for this wonderful family.
Thanks so much.
Pam Taylor

L.I.F.T. - (Ladies in Faith Together)  is the  women's ministry program developed by the ladies of New Life Fellowship. We are taking a fresh approach by creating fun and exciting ways to connect with other women, the community and, most importantly, to God.

L.I.F.T. offers events and outreach that will bring us together as women in casual and fun settings that are comfortable enough to invite friends. In addition to social events, L.I.F.T. offers opportunities for outreach and service throughout the community, such as, collecting items for a local battered women's shelter, participation in fund raising, etc.

We are always looking for fresh ideas and are in need of volunteers to help coordinate events.
